He poses as a threat to all non-war spending and spending that he doesn’t contrive for the country. Listen, it’s his ball, and he can take it home if he wants.
In 2003, he asked Congress for an $87 billion war grant, yet he considers $35 billion for children’s healthcare to be “extraneous”. The additional $35 billion is paid for by smokers by adding on about a buck, as a tax, to their fix. Instead of letting big business smokes suffer the shot from pro-SCHIP parents and children, Bush seemingly is playing the political martyr.
The president is being a little selfish, or he’s in the pocket of big smokes.
